Excellent Safety Practices Pay Off For Area Contractor

MIDLAND, MICH - Three Rivers Corporation has been awarded the Platinum 2009 Safety Training and Evaluation Process, S.T.E.P. Award, a national safety award, by the Saginaw Valley Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors. The award was presented during the recent annual membership meeting.

The Safety Training and Evaluation Process, S.T.E.P., recognizes the efforts of ABC members that strive to achieve effective safety practices within their companies; additionally providing contractors with a tool to objectively evaluate their safety programs, policies, procedures and training.

The S.T.E.P. awards are presented in four categories, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze based on evaluation scoring.

For firms exhibiting the highest level of dedication to safety, special Platinum recognition was presented. Firms receiving the S.T.E.P. Platinum Award are featured in national publications and are eligible to receive the ABC National Safety of Excellence Award and will be considered for the industry-wide, Construction User’s Roundtable Construction Industry Safety of Excellence Award, (CURT/CISE).
