Green and Local
MIDLAND, MICH - The builders working on the 16,006-square-foot Ieuter Insurance Group building at 414 Townsend St. are using a number of products from local companies to help make it energy efficient.
Owner Cal Ieuter said it was important to the company that green products and local products be used when possible. The building is expected to receive certification through the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program.

Excellent Safety Practices Pay Off For Area Contractor
MIDLAND, MICH - Three Rivers Corporation has been awarded the Platinum 2009 Safety Training and Evaluation Process, S.T.E.P. Award, a national safety award, by the Saginaw Valley Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors. The award was presented during the recent annual membership meeting.

Three Rivers’ President and Chairman of the Board Dan Kozakiewicz Named as 2009 JA Business Hall of Fame Laureate
MIDLAND, MICH - Dan Kozakiewicz, President and Chairman of the Board of Three Rivers Corporation, was inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame on October 28 at the H Hotel in Midland.
The JA Business Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding business leaders who have demonstrated excellence through their contributions, not only to the business world, but also to their communities. Honorees, nominated by members of the community, are elected for induction into the Hall of Fame by a consensus of past laureates.

Building Builders: Housing market doesn't slow down Bullock Creek building trades program heading into its 37th year
Kurt Pudvay loves going to work each day. “There’s never a dull moment,” said Pudvay, 24, who is employed by Three Rivers Corp. and works as a welder at The Dow Chemical Co. “It’s very satisfying to design something yourself, fabricate it yourself and install it yourself,” he said. “It’s very gratifying.”

Green elements get green light in Ieuter project
The new Ieuter Insurance headquarters going up at 414 Townsend St. is going for the green. Energy-efficient elements outlined in the building’s site plan, which goes for its final approval before the Midland City Council on Monday night, include a bike rack, employee showers and changing rooms, low-flow toilets and motion-triggered occupancy sensor lights.

Three Rivers’ Safety Director Earns MIOSHA Level One Safety & Health Construction Certification
MIDLAND, MICH - Paul Crivac, Safety Director for Three Rivers Corporation recently graduated from the MIOSHA Training Institute (MTI), the premier provider of workplace safety and health training in Michigan.
The MTI in partnership with Macomb Community College offers participants an opportunity to be recognized for their educational efforts and increased technical expertise. Safety directors, safety coordinators, and safety committee members attend a series of courses that help them develop the knowledge and skills to improve their company’s safety and health system.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) today announced that Three Rivers Corporation, Midland, Mich., maintained a safety record that has earned the company recognition in the General Contractor category of ABC’s National Safety Excellence Awards. Three Rivers’ representatives received the award June 24 during the 19th annual Excellence in Construction awards celebration at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Three Rivers Wins National Award for Dow Diamond Construction
MIDLAND - Three Rivers Corp. has received one of the nation's most prestigious building awards for its construction work on Dow Diamond, home of the Midwest League's Great Lakes Loons baseball team.
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) announced this week that Three Rivers has won its National Excellence in Construction Award.

Daniel Kozakiewicz Elected Chairman of the ABC of Michigan Board of Directors
Daniel Kozakiewicz, president of Three Rivers Corporation in Midland, has been elected Chair of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Michigan (ABC) Board of Directors. Kozakiewicz succeeds 2007 Board Chair James Struble, President of RCI Electric in Farmington Hills, who will continue his service on the ABC board. The announcement came following the annual meeting of ABC.
